Candle Care and Safety

Trim your Wicks

Trimming wicks helps to control your flame height.  A large flame will cause the candle to burn too hot which isn't safe for you, your home, or the candle. Additionally, not trimming the wick can lead to black soot getting on the surfaces of your home (as well as turn the candle vessle black)

Keep out of reach of children/pets/ anything that can burn/ anyone who can burn themselves and anything that can knock the candle over.

While this seems simple, always ensure that candles are placed and lit in an area where your little ones cant reach them! Touching a hot candle/flame can lead to burns from the flame itself or the hot wax (potentially both). You also want to ensure that your pets cannot accidentally (or purposely) knock them over or harm themselves from the flame or wax. Lastly, keept the candle away from anything that is flammable! This is a flame, it can cause damage to items or cause a fire.

DO NOT LEAVE CANDLES UNATTENDED Or burning too long

Never leave a candle unattended! Again, candles have flames and you should always be in the room to monitor the flame.

Candles also should not burn for longer than 4 hours. If you blow out the candle and later decide you want to enjoy it some more, ensure it has had at least 2 hours to cool down prior to re-lighting
